There are many types of mold.  And, we know that Black Mold is the most dangerous type of mold we might find in the Joliet area.  Joliet Mold Inspections finds black mold in about 15% of our mold samples.  Black mold causes an immediate and serious response because it is a huge health threat.

We find that Aspegillus is far more common in the Joliet area.  In fact, aspergillus is a type of mold we almost always find in our mold samples.  Aspergillus is commonly found in grains and common vegetation.  In your house or workplace, aspergillus hits the three areas of health concern: allergenic, pathogenic, and toxigenic.  There are people with a specific allergy to aspergillus.  That is bad enough, but what about the known disease threats from aspergillus? 

Many types of mold will product mycotoxins that add to the toxic level of a building.  Aspergillus product aflotoxins that can be a controbutor to cancer and other diseases.  We cannot ignore a latent threat to the home.  Dangerous mold would be like a dangerous spider in your home.  It is unlikely that anyone will be affected, but the is also a real potential for a life-threatening encounter.
